Sheffield based Lyons Den Networking Group has raised £5,080 for The Children’s Hospital Charity as part of the Mistress Cutlers Challenge. The networking group held a race night at Owlerton Stadium in July which was attended by 120 of South Yorkshire’s leading business leaders. The money was raised by the sponsoring of fifteen races and the imposition of a 100% tax on all winnings! Millgate Connect generously donated at Planet X mountain bike which was raffled off on the night and also at the Lyons Den event in September. The event was attended by the Master and Mistress Cutler who both had a keen eye for several winning greyhounds!
The Race Sponsors’ held a social event in September kindly hosted by Sheffield Brewery.
The race sponsors’ included many of Sheffield’s leading organisations including Barber Harrison & Platt, Caudata, The Mistress Cutler, DLA Piper, Grant Thornton, Helix Tool Co, Highlander IT, Kostal, Millgate Connect, Nabarro, Nicholas Associates, ProAktive, Sagar McClintock, The Sheffield Brewery Co and Switchstance IT.
Group co-founder Alan Lyons said “We have now raised around £14,500 in the last three years we have run the race night at Owlerton Stadium to support the Master Cutlers’ Challenge. The money raised this year was greater than our expectations and we are delighted to have supported such a worthwhile cause which helps so many families during difficult times. We are thankful of the continued support of business leaders and our race sponsors that have made this possible.”
